New Physician to Join Mon Health Stonewall Primary Care
WESTON, WV (August 3, 2021) - Mon Health Stonewall Primary Care is expanding its services with the addition of Dr. Larissa Fordyce-Richards to the clinical staff. Dr. Fordyce-Richards will be joining the staff at the newly opened office at Market Place Mall in Weston, where Debra Murray, NP also provides care Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 4:30 PM.
Dr. Fordyce-Richards will be seeing patients of all ages with acute and chronic conditions. She is perfectly suited for her new location with specialized training in rural health. She is also Co-Medical Director of Primary Care for Mon Health.
"I can't wait to meet the patients in the Lewis County area," Dr. Fordyce-Richards said. "I have a special interest in chronic disease management, women's health, and dermatology and invite them to call us for any medical needs. At Mon Health, we want our patients to feel the difference and I hope to bring that difference to the office."
Before joining Mon Health Stonewall Primary Care, Dr. Fordyce-Richards was a staff physician at Mon Health Wedgewood Primary Care in Morgantown. She has also practiced at Clay- Battelle Community Health Center, Pleasant Valley Hospital, and Fairmont Regional Medical Center. She received her medical degree from West Virginia University, where she also performed her internship and residency. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Fordyce-Richards lives in Shinnston with her husband and two teenage sons. In her spare time, she enjoys portrait painting, playing the banjo, and spending time with her family.
