Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital CAO Kevin Stalnaker Named Chamber Businessman of Year

Weston, WV (November 15, 2021) - At the 85 th annual Lewis County Chamber of Commerce
Dinner on November 6, Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital Chief Administrative
Officer Kevin Stalnaker was named the Lewis County Businessman of the year. The award was
sponsored by the Citizens Bank of Weston and presented by Angela Cedeno, Director of
Clinical Operations at the Hospital.

Stalnaker was honored for several factors including: implementing business growth, enjoying an
outstanding reputation, developing quality business acumen, and exhibiting problem-solving
expertise. He has worked for Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital for nearly a
decade, first as Assistant Administrator, and currently as Chief Administrative Officer. He is a
graduate of West Virginia University with over 25 years of financial and leadership experience.
Stalnaker previously served as CEO at William R. Sharpe Jr. Hospital and as Deputy
Commissioner of Operations for the Bureau for Behavioral Health and Health Facilities.

Kevin has also been very supportive of raising the overall health of the residents of Lewis
County by supporting and encouraging the development of Pace Yourself Lewis County, which
consists of 5Ks in multiple locations throughout the County.

Stalnaker is proud of Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital's reputation and recent
honors, including the Fall 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Safety "A" Grade, which ranks hospital quality
and patient safety measures in the country. The most recent "A" rating was the third consecutive
for Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, and they are the only hospital in WV to
earn this designation. The Hospital was also recently received a 5-star Hospital Rating through
CMS and received a Gold Honor from the WV Hospital Association as well as named one of the
top 100 Safety Net Hospitals in the country.

taxed throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Finding staff, equipment, and resources was
